Game Description

Three Man is a party dice game where a designated player faces special penalties when a 3 is rolled, with other totals triggering house-rule actions.

How to Play Three Man

  1. Choose a player to be the Three Man.
  2. Players roll two dice and resolve actions based on the total.
  3. Rolling a 3 triggers an action for the Three Man.
  4. House rules define other totals, such as 7 for skipping, 11 for creating new rules, or doubles for bonus actions.
  5. The Three Man role can change based on a house rule, such as rolling a specific number.

Three Man is intentionally flexible, so agree on actions before play begins.

How to use this tool

The most important piece is the Roll button above. It will roll all the dice listed in Options. If you want to change the type of option, you can click the Options dropdown to see the form. You can add as many dice groups as you want. You can also share the options with others by clicking the Share Options button. This will give you a link to the current options. You can copy and paste the link to share it with others. When they click the link, it will load the same options you have set up. You can also click the Show Sum checkbox to see the total of all the dice rolled. If you want to roll again, just click the Roll button again. If you click on any die, it will show a lock icon. Those won't get rolled again. Enjoy!
